He'd have burned out, Bill Watterson style, but he'd have never written this plot arc.[/quote] I can't agree that a newspaper job would be the answer, but something-god-anything that actually makes him keep to a deadline. maybe he should go 100% pay instead of sulking about ungrateful people wanting drawings for free, and be properly beholden to your paying customers. maybe he should just post the first three frames, then the next, then the next, instead of insisting on these 9-frame monstrosities. maybe at LEAST he could stop constantly re-promising and re-failing to deliver on strip timing. I definitely agree that, failing some herculean effort in drawing speed, he needs to abandon his questionable illustrations and return to his real strength: his variety of 'voices'. it is an outright necessity at this point. roast beef dying, however? I don't mind roast beef dying. I fully expect him to die ten times (the last permanent).[/quote]
