Tampa Comicon Game of Thrones Panel by Roop 07/29/2014, 10:12pm PDT
I must admit to enjoying the Game of Thrones television program. I know Fabio will hate me for liking it, but I like feeling dirty so I do not care. Anyway, it's the quote from Faulkner Martin's always throwing around, only story worth telling is the human heart in conflict with itself, maybe that's why I like it. It's this grand story with a cast of thousands with grand conflicts, but it's always about the personal conflicts, the grand conflicts just becoming another test in the other smaller conflict. For instance, everything that happens to Jon Snow is about whether or not he should quit the Night's Watch. Everything big and small is that, his internal conflict. From meeting a hot chick to fighting 10,000 men.

So, anyway, I'm sko fanboi faggot whatever, I've been watching lots of GoT Comic Con panel faggotry. It's all mostly abysmal, I admit, but I'M LEARNING FACTS ABOUT CELEBRITIES, fuck you! It's the American way and shit!

Comic Con San Diego Game of Thrones panel was mostly terrible, instead of having the bored dwarf guy again they got other people who had never done it before, so it should have been good... but the questions sucked. The audience questions weren't vetted, so often were just statements about how great everybody was, which nobody knew how to respond to, or the guy dresses up like the Johnny Depp pirate--that was a great moment. He had a long involved setup, not only looking exactly like the drunken Johnny Depp Pirate, but acting like him too, slurring his words and such. He had everybody applaud the showrunners again, then went into a schpleel about the cast all being great and being invited to his pirate ship themed (?) party, then a quick plug to his webpage.com, and he rushes off stage left, with a wide scammer smile. ICY cold room, a million pissed off nerds for wasting the Q+A time, that Scotch host doing his thing to make it a joke, and one person in the entire room laughing, a gleeful idiot, cackling with evil laughter: George R.R. Martin. One guy laughing in the entire room, everybody else pissed. That was the best part. It's editted out of most fan videos because they are angry faggots.

I came across the girl who plays Arya getting ready for San Diego by doing other Cons. She did one in Tampa (which is great) and Indianapolis. I come from Indiana, I live in the Northwest part. There has been rumblings here recently of succeeding from the rest of the state. I can't watch the Indianapolis Comic Con panel with Arya Stark. I cannot do it. I cannot even WATCH the fucking thing! The woman in it, the moderator, the oozing sucking moderator! She starts out: "Well, I see we have a lot of Nerdy Nerds here today!" No one laughs, people just grunt along like she's sane and normal. It's fucking Indiananpolis. I say Gary, Indiana and it's immediate suburbs succeed and become part of Illinois. We act like we're from Illinois here, we don't act like that woman. Then she goes and says nobody can hug and kiss Arya Stark actress because SHE WANTS TO SAVE HER FOR HERSELF, yum delicious sixteen year old girl, YUM! Her eyes wild, this Hoosier fakelady, laughing like this isn't HORROR. Then the Massie Williams girl proved she was indeed a great actress by not showing her fear.

Couldn't get through more than ten minutes of it. It just made me want to reignite the Civil War, fuck it. Give me a Flintlock, I want to murder someone in Marion County.

But the best video was when the little girl got ready by hitting Tampa. She must have gone to Disney with her family, because she comes in with the stenciled mouseears, and is joined by a bachelor from Scotland. He probably figured the apex of his career might just be this show, he'd go ahead and fly to Tampa to practice with Massie. But what probably tipped him over the edge: Jason would be there. Other cast members have mentioned this cast member from Season One and the fun he is in bars. He likes lifting everybody and tossing them around like they're dwarfs in front of the dwarf guy but he won't toss the dwarf just the 6'9 people. Something like that? Anyway, for the panel in Tampa Jason the Kal Drogo guy smokes some pot and starts chugging Guiness with the Hound, and they continue it for the "panel." They openly discuss ditching Arya and raising hell after they are done with the Q&A. It's like we're watching the openings of an epic DRUNK, and should stand back in awe.

I can't stop thinking about this dumb video for some reason. For the poor bastard moderating, it was a trainwreck unfolding slowly before him. But it's actually much more entertaining than any other panel, especially the "real" panel in San Diego.
