Here you are making points, drawing analogies, inviting rebuttals. You're engaging in a good faith argument. Scott Walker did none of these things.
There was no "repeal of public workers' ability to collectively bargain" bill. There was no public comment period. No debate in the legislature. The repeal of Wisconsin public workers' right to publicly bargain was snuck into a budget bill that Walker attempted to pass in the dead of night. The reason it didn't go smoothly was because several democrats left the state to deny Walker the quorum necessary to pass this budget bill.
Huge throngs of protesters descended on the capitol but Walker refused to meet with union leaders to negotiate, saying he was "too busy." This is why the "Koch Whore" phonecall is even more outrageous, because when Walker was too busy to speak to his own constituents, when some dude pretending to be a California Billionaire called up, Walker dropped everything and scampered to the phone to say, "Hi boss! I did a good thing, huh boss?"
But in the end the actual David Koch gave Walker the "help" he asked for, the Democrats once again displayed their superhuman ability to fuck up an opportunity by fielding the guy who had just lost to Walker as their recall candidate, and the rest is history. Speaking of which...
