62GB! Take that, everyone's data caps by Rafiki 04/26/2015, 9:12pm PDT
Can't wait for GTA6 to be 250GB. What do I want to do on the internet this month......download GTA6 or do everything else?

I have to echo a lot of this. Saint's Row and Just Cause are so much more casually fun. GTA5 is probably the most jaw-droppingly obsessively detailed digital world ever created, but I spend most of my time being totally bored navigating it. The game seems to compound this problem too. I drove across the city to a mission once only to be turned away because I was wearing the wrong fucking outfit. They couldn't have just handed it to me during the mission briefing, "here, put this on to look the part." Nope, drive home and change, then drive back so you can resume playing. I'm still pretty early in single player, so it's still in quasi-tutorial mode so nothing has really jumped out at me yet as memorable. Except maybe the recycling center escape with Franklin, that was fun. FPS mode works really well in this game.

GTA Online is more fun, but still has problems. There's a hundred billion side missions, but they're all races no one wants to play. Me and a friend of mine made the mistake of playing the tennis mingame. NEVER DO THIS. It's awful. It follows the actual rules of tennis. Someone has to win by 2 sets for it to end. When you're both terrible, it never fucking ends, and the whole thing is super boring. They could have implemented anything else, like a big button that just opens up goatse.cx, but they went with a shitty tennis simulation instead.

Randomly fighting people throughout the city is fun, except for the part where console people got to import their characters. So I get sniped from across the city by an auto-rifle, rocket launcher, or mounted laser cannon in a trillion dollar moon base from someone who's level 156 while I'm level 2 trying to take people down with slaps and titty twisters.

Job missions are pretty fun and work well with co-op, and heists can be legitimately incredible. The Humane Labs raid as GROUND CREW is probably one of my favorite video game moments of ALL TIME. I hope they add a thousand heists. The only downside to job and heist missions are the 3 and a half hour drives to the mission waypoint so you can have the objectives narrated to you. That usually ends about halfway there, so they're you're just stuck driving the remaining half million miles with nothing happening.

Somehow, in all my years of online gaming, I've managed to dodge trolls over voice chat and kids being retarded. I don't know if I got super lucky in picking servers or what, but GTA5 has fixed that by immersing me in the whitest people on earth yelling "nigger" at each other all of the time.

Overall, I'm so far giving this a net positive on the strength of online play. Maybe not worth $60, particularly if you won't do multiplayer, but worth it on sale for GTA Online. Avalanche already broke my heart by announcing Just Cause 3 won't have multiplayer, so here's hoping Volition will expand Saint's Row beyond co-op (which is awesome) and do Saint's Row Online.

Also, I have the best character:

Everyone else in the entire game has the exact same guy with short hair and the front spiked up, just with different hair colors.
