Here's what I've seen so far in response to the league's report and the penalties handed down.
Nobody knew about the rule
It didn't affect the outcome of the game
Brady has a right to privacy
The NFL cannot supoena things
The NFL is not important
Endless references to in-game penalties being equivalent
$25k fine is what is prescribed in the rule book
The NFL does not have conclusive proof
Physics proves that the footballs were not deflated intentionally
It's all arbitrary
Are any of these compelling? In regards to the physics complaint, do we not have a clear text message thread about deflating footballs? Is that more compelling than the guestimates and uncertainties of the physics analyses that are out there? |
