Every turn, something fun to do. Every battle is entertaining. Every hero is fun to level up. Every map is an adventure.
And shit just works. You click on something, and it does what you think it'd do, and quickly.
It feels VERY much like Age of Wonders, except AoW is so bloated with chrome that going into a battle feels more like a chore than something to look forward to. In some ways, I think that's the key to a really great strategic game with tactical combat. You have to look forward to the tactical combat instead of hoping you can avoid it.
