STATUS: Played first three tutorial missions. They shouldn't have taken that long, but there's a lot of reading.
REVIEW: None of the descriptions I'd heard of this sounded interesting to me, and the initial blush of lame 2D sprite graphics confirmed my disinterest, but I gotta say, once you start getting the idea, it really is very smartly done. You can tell it's by a bunch of guys who said "we're not going to bother with graphics and shit, we'll just make cool, inventive games." Which this seems like one of them. It definitely has roots in the Total Annihilation series, what with its "build workers to speed up ship production and then set the ship producers on repeat so you get hundreds and hundreds of ships right away" thing. If I hadn't played TA before, this would have seemed more complicated than it is.
CHANCE OF PLAYING AGAIN: 100%, at least to finish the tutorials, and start the campaign. After that, we'll see.
