I'd say maybe in 1 out of 10 games, someone leaves before being down by less than 3 goals. Now, that's not GREAT, as the number should be 1 out of way-more-than-10, but to suggest that it's "murdering" the game is hyperbole.
How to fix it, though?
Penalties/timeouts for recitivism. And/or more incentive to stay in the game to collect the XP at the end. Also the ranking system needs work. I mean, the difference between ranked and unranked at this point is, if you go into a stats screen two sub-menus deep, you can see how you stack up worldwide, based on a vague "skill rating". There's no "silver, gold, platinum..." league progression, anything to be promoted to or demoted from, nothing to be particularly gained by playing ranked, and playing it to the end, other than possibly seeing an arbitrary stat # go up a small amount. Even your "rookie, semi-pro, pro, veteran" status is just based on, essentially, the number of hours you put into it, and has zero direct correlation to skill.
I'm sure they'll fix this all up soon, now that it's a big, fat, big-titted hit. |
