| Free games, soundtracks, special edition upgrades, special editions (that have another regular edition for sale), and DLC/expansions (if it said another game was required to play) were excluded. For ratings, there had to be visible ratings.
Takeaways that are too general for the sample size but I'm going to make them anyway: - GOG needs better filters. There's way too many soundtracks/artbooks/special edition upgrades,etc that are lumped into "games" - Highly rated games that aren't as big sellers have a high "nostalgia" factor but they're harder to sell to newer generations, even to those who want to play "classics". DK2 and Theme Hospital hold up better graphically and gameplay wise than the paper doll graphics in Thief 2 and the lumpy 3D figures of Twinsen's Odyssey. - It's easier to sell an old, famous flop (Daikatana) than a new indie flop (the entire bottom sellers), although I have no idea how GOG calculates sellers.
