| You know when you play a new MOBA game, and you have no idea what's going on with a dozen unique heroes zipping all over the place with their 3 unique abilities each? You know how this effect is amplified in Smite with the reduced situational awareness that comes from the over the shoulder perspective?
Now imagine that in a first person perspective at triple the speed. So it's basicallyTeam Fortress 2 point defense and convoy objectives with two MOBA teams instead of turrets and minion laning. Stellar polish and detail. Seemingly horrendous balance. It seems like one-third of the characters are blatantly better. I can't see why anyone would pick any tank other than the hammer guy, or any defensive hero other than the turret robot or sniper chick. Nobody ever touches 2 of the offensive heroes or any support hero other than the angel medic. $60 is fucking insane. |
