It's alright. Maybe all the must buy 10/10 stuff opens up in the full version?

I'm not seeing the claims that it's not a RNG fest, it's a MANAGED RNG fest! I mean, not any more so than spending some more action points for an aimed shot in something like Fallout or Shadowrun. Unlike those games, there's not much of a buffer here. Cards are one use and gone regardless of whether or not they succeed. Every unit dies in one hit (defense just determines the hit chance). One lucky or unlucky roll can easily decide an entire match. There's the illusion bluffing mechanic, but it seemed to just boil down to disbelieving any creature under a 50% cast chance as worth the attempt.

Overall it felt like Hearthstone on a hex board where you swap damage, health, and mana for percentage chances. If that's your thing you'll probably be into it.

The whole time though I couldn't help but think I'd rather be playing Blood Bowl. That was a much better instance of managed RNG where you held off all potential turnover actions until the end of a turn, prioritized their order, and had the reroll resource to manage.
