Yes, but I have a soft spot for games that the gaming press and their sycophants think are doubleplus ungood and that no-one should play them. (Which is not what you are saying, in fact, I gather from your message that HuniePop might be the Madden Football of dating sims.) I just had a tangential awareness that it was controversial or something a few months back and I really can't stand it when vague people who don't create anything go on about what an invention of the Devil some game is. (Which, again, is not you.) "HuniePop" might also be one of the top five best names for a computer game, in so much as it's not a real word or phrase but leaves no doubt as to what you're in for.
Same thing with Hatred. Because they stepped out of line -- one guy in the dev team "liked" something on Facebook of all places that the offenderati discovered and didn't agree with -- suddenly everyone is clutching pearls about a twin-stick shooter. Now, having played it for all of 11 minutes, it's in this weird spot where it's got great visual direction but just "off' in a few places. But to release a black and white game takes balls, and the color effects that are in there are very nice. The race from video game reviewers to tell us NOPE, it ain't that great, we told you so was really sad. The devs have the framework to make a nice RPG in a town if they want and they certainly weren't going to get noticed on their own because that is not how it works anymore. They figured out a way to get everyone talking about them and nobody gave them that, that's worthy of respect even if the game doesn't measure up to Robotron. (That was the other thing, I loved seeing reviewers tell us how Hatred falls short of possibly the best game ever in Robotron while many of these same cliques jerk off to walking simulators.)
Now, I will admit that it's probably a negative if in fact the developers all hate Jews. I will admit that. Especially since Ralph Baer invented video games. Ya gotta know why they are doing what they are doing. Don't hate Jews is my Christmas message.
