Director of Resident Evil 4? With a more Silent Hillish reality bending angle? Normally $60 on winter sale for $9 (huh?)? (Free demo) sold!

What a mess. They try to pull the game in so many directions. It feels like they tried to crossbreed Outlast and Manhunt. The controls are so awful and 90% of the first hour is scripted corridor walking that it almost feels like a fan mod for Outlast enabling a 3rd person view.

Special shout out to the worst optimization I've ever seen in a console port. With all the graphic options set to the lowest, I couldn't even get this to run at a playable rate even at 1024x768. I had to knock it down to 800x600 just to get 30fps!

Story? Psh. So much for the beginning buildup being the best part of a horror game. You literally spend more time rocking back and forth on a rope to grab a knife than you do in the starting build up. Straight to meeting the horror villain...a TV static version of the Assassin's Creed guy? Bam you're in the nightmare world that's less freaky Silent Hill and more derivative Saw. There is no story just run down scripted narrow corridor sequences. Your character's leg is injured for the entire first hour so sprint is disabled and you're reduced to a slow limp. Why are there claymore wire traps in this psychedelic dark world? Boo!
