Mitt Romney said "corporations are people too," so it moved because it felt the climate, the neighborhood or the environment was better. 9. Taxes were lower. (The big thing these days is for corporations to re-charter in Canada because the corporate taxes are less than the US.) 8. Regulatory climate is better. (Some states are really hostile to business.) 7. Liked the name of the new location (a porn producer used mailing addresses in Pennsylvania so he could send out material from the towns of "Blue Balls" and "Intercourse".) 6. Corporate governance rules more favorable (which is why a large number of public companies are chartered in Delaware even if they don't operate there.) 5. Easier to get employees to show up because parking or public transportation is closer and/or cheaper. 4.
