One was the twenty-seond kill house in the tutorial, and the other was the 60-second mid-air hostage rescue in the epilogue. Most everything in between felt like Tom Clancy's waste of time. Which is weird, since I loved Call of Duty 2! I think they just went a little overboard with the infinitely spawning enemies carrying an infinite number of hand grenades in this one. It was all a bit American football, sprinting through enemy fire to cross the next invisible trigger volume, at which point you'd get a checkpoint and your squadmates would move up and the enemies would fall back and you'd both square off and do it all over again. I suppose Cannon Fodder Football is hardly the worst idea for a videogame, and at least they weren't afraid to make it slightly challenging on the higher difficulty, so all in all it wasn't too bad.
The Pripyat mission is still probably the best interactive cinema sequence I've ever played.
