I was going off a gut feeling when I called that Academy Award-winning "American Beauty" pedophile apologia years ago, but goddamn the things that have been coming to the surface about Hollywood these last couple years.

First Barry Crimmins explained the creepy message of the movie "Powder" and the underlying question of why Disney greenlit a movie directed by a CONVICTED child molester.

Then I see things like this:

And I gotta wonder, did the screenwriter know that giving American Pie the moral that pedophilia made Lester a better person would make some certain executive (or executives) more receptive to the picture? Is that what turned it into Oscar-bait? Because like I say again and again in the review, that movie is as ham-handed as any fox sitcom from the 90s in its humor and delivery, I can't imagine it winning any awards on its intrinsic quality, let alone THIS many! I mean, shit, if you were hell-bent on giving awards to a movie with an anti-consumerism message that year, give it to Fight Club!
