I want to like this. Alice in Wonderland meets Silent Hill? but......

They flubbed the whole real/dark world transition. You click on a pill bottle to switch back and forth instantly at any time. Every once in a while there will be a crucial item that only exists in the dark world, but mostly it's just cosmetic. The problem is it makes the dark world mundane. New screen? Flick the dark world on to see if there's a new door or item. No? Flick it back to normal world. It just becomes detective vision and it saps the ebb and tension out of something like Silent Hill or The White Chamber where it's story scripted. Not only that, but the imagery becomes predictable and repetitive. All people replaced with dead bodies, blood on walls, shadow monster hovering over the children. etc etc where's the key?

The puzzles are also extremely weak. You rarely have more than 2 items to use when you come across an obstacle.

Maybe it turns completely around after chapter 2? Probably not. I'm getting bad Babadook vibes from the story.
