Well, basically anything Nintendo released. They carried the console. Everything else is cross-platform. From what I've played:

Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8 are musts. The online multiplayer for MK8 worked surprisingly well and I didn't notice any lag playing against people from all over the world. I haven't played in awhile, so I don't know if the online community is dead or not.

Mario Maker if you have any interest in building levels since the editor is great, otherwise you can pass. Good user levels are difficult to find since that's what happens when everyone's an amateur, and you'll be sad and forlorn when you don't get the feedback you were hoping for after you release your epic Mario level because you're competing for attention against a zillion other levels and stupid fucking novelty levels.

Since you said PG I guess that rules out Bayonetta, unless your rating scale is different.

Presentation-wise, Wonderful 101 is unbelievable, but the controls are clunky as hell and can make playing the game frustrating. Lots of other people swear by this game, so it's worth checking out at least. I know there used to be a demo, but I don't know if they took it down after the game was released.

Pikmin 3 might be worth looking into if it's not full price anymore, but I thought challenge mode was better than the main game.
