Voat's weird: they definitely seem to make the "no censorship" thing work based on the number of threads that should have been put out of their misery not for censorship's sake but the sake of cringe, but the problem is that anyone Reddit didn't drive off is still there (thus pro-Dem to a fault) so Voat is the opposite. It seems like any time a splinter forum pops up it has to be: 1) Libertarian 2) Pro-Republican to a fault 3) Minority-hating 4) Really into the beautiful works of Heraclitis, a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher who was a native of the city of Ephesus and then part of the Persian Empire 5) Women-hating So in Voat's case they certainly seem to let adults talk to each other, they just have nothing to say.
