I do recall during the debates that Trump even stated that if the roles were reversed, if it was him that had a justice die with almost a year left in the Presidency, that he would not accept it going to the next guy. At least he was upfront regarding the hypocrisy. I suppose the deal is, if you hold the majority in the Senate, you can refuse to consider the President's nominee indefinitely. How does it not follow that as long as the uneducated keep voting for their Republican senators, that we would ever see a Democrat-nominated President again? Or perhaps that will happen, just not if the President is black. Completely unacceptable regardless. |
