There's almost an argument in this. The problem with minimum wage is that it directs government force against employers to pay people more than what their market value is. If an individual wants to make $15 dollars an hour (who isn't), then they can improve themselves through education, training, working harder, etc to create more value out of their labor. Minimum wage laws takes away control from the employer and forces more productive members of society to pay more for goods and services as a result of covering the offset resulting from artificial wage minimums. It's also a little peculiar that "Fight for $15" advocates are usually open door immigration liberals. Open door immigration policies flood the labor market which ends up decreasing the value of lower class laborers which just ends up impoverishing them further.

A tremendous amount of feels surrounding an inane logical fallacy you directed towards conservative voters. The statement you referenced was a figure of speech he used to describe his popularity. Even somehow taking the statement literally, the logical conclusion would be that its validity is based on the shortcomings of Hillary unless you are able to provide a mental deficit within conservative voters. This was the final part of your argument that falls apart under scrutiny: that 44% percent of Americans are stupid and that is how Trump got elected (along with democratic apathy). The United States, like all 1st world nations, has an IQ dispersion towards the higher end of the scale. The lower IQ members of American society tend to be people dependent on welfare programs since they are unable to obtain a comparable or greater amount of value on their own in the free market. These individuals tend to vote Democrat to ensure these benefits.
