Yesterday I ran into one of my desks and tore the keyboard shelf track, leaving a piece of metal sticking out. Not knowing it was there I backed out of my room and struck the controller on the chair arm, ripping through the wheelchair controls. Great! Wonderful. Now I'm back in a manual wheelchair until Hoveround can send me the new part, Fortunately I can order it in kit form, meaning I install it instead of a two week wait to get it installed. Bad nes is it's $607.00 plus $14 for two-day shipping. As opposed to $96 for next-day shipping.
So I'm back in a manual wheelchair for two days. And I can't go anywhere. And I have to spend $622.00 for absolutely nothing, complete waste. |
