3.0 delayed until after Gamescom by skip 07/30/2017, 7:42am PDT
It must be in pretty bad shape for him to push it back even more since I thought he'd just repackage the current alpha with a few cosmetic changes as 3.0. Shit wad promised for December.

now would be a good time to tell us Squadron 42 wont make it this year. dont make us wait until citizencon just to say it won't be coming this year.

They'll wait until after their big sale. The thread just devolves into a therapy session complaining about their abusive dad, Croberts.

I'm starting to think I might even cut the cord a little earlier, say if we get to October/November with no sign of 3.0. I still think the game will be awesome eventually and in the long run I know it's better for them to take their time and get it right, but they're so bad at communicating about it, and I'm so burned out on constantly getting hyped (by them) and then disappointed, over and over again, for years on end at this point.

I was so angry with Q4 of 2016 that I decided to do a similar thing. I almost completely tuned out until summer 2017 since that's when everything was supposed to be done already (since all 2016 delays were minor issues, right).

I've been here since 2012... I barely even care anymore tbh. Maybe in a few years someone can scavenge SC and make a third of the game that was promised.

I was disappointed a few weeks ago, this just makes me apathetic. Like I have no reason to check the schedule update until at least halfway through August, since that's the soonest this will get to the Evocati.

Being realistic, the Evocati won't have it until the second week of August, at best. So the chances of it even hitting the PTU, after all the bug fixing needed on their largest release to date, are slim. It's not even disappointing anymore, like I expect it, and I know it's "just a game", but it feels emotionally draining sometimes to follow this development.

Watching the weekly shows, hearing Jared and Tylor saying how amazing it is to play 3.0 for the first time, reading gaming magazine's impressions of their play-through, it all gets to be too much. At this point I think I'm just abusing myself to keep getting my hopes up and having them dashed on a bi-weekly basis. Like you said It's just a game, so I feel even silly for being so upset- but can't help it.

That'd be the sensable thing to do, and I should, but I won't. I'm a fanatic, and as much as it sucks to do the disappointment tango every week, twice a week, I'll keep doing it. All of us will. We wouldn't still be fans of this game if we could just stop following it's development at the drop of a hat.

I wish I had something in my life I was looking forward to even a fraction of how much I'm eagerly anticipating 3.0. Then maybe the delay announcements wouldn't get me so bummed. But.... Yea, nothing even close.
