Watching Charlize Theron in this, was anyone else having flashbacks to Michelle Forbes in The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena? I think it might be a combination of the long braided hair and how they were both evil mercenary queens with an antagonistic relationship to Vin Diesel. There's a scene in this where he's Harvey Fierstein-ing at her that she thought she was going to put a tiger in her tank but instead she ended up with a tiger by the tail, and she says that if he was a cold blooded reptile like her he could detach his tail to get away, and he says that he would chew off his own arm to protect his tail, and she says I am a crocodile I eat arms for breakfast and then just straight blows his girlfriend's brains all over the inside of her airplane's cargo bay. I bet the writer or director or someone had to have a conversation with Vin Diesel about maybe changing Tiger to Tigon, which is a real-life cross between a Tiger and a Lion and also the name of Vin Diesel's production company. What I mean is the conversations they have on set are probably just as amazing as the ones that make it into the movie. |
