Caltrops - The Last Guardian - Just started this, started hating it immediately

It's not a good thing when I don't feel like I have control over my own character. tiptoetiptoetiptoe LURCH FORWARD RUNRUNRUN STUMBLE FUMBLE RUNRUN. That's within the first 5 seconds, and then all of the seconds. You're just constantly lurching and flailing around. I guess this was supposed to capture what it's like being a clumsy little kid, and now we know it sucks so as to never repeat it again. They give you control over the camera, but it wants SO BAD to go on autopilot that you actively fight against it. Bitch, I want to look at the ratbirddog leaping majestically through the air while I'm sloowwwwly climbing across this chain for 5 minutes, stop trying to turn yourself so I get nothing but a panoramic view of the fucking wall. There's exactly one direction I can move in and no danger. WHAT IS SO VITAL ABOUT LOOKING AT THE WALL?

I'd laud the animation as outstanding if my character's movement didn't piss me off constantly.

God, I wanted to like this game since I liked Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I heard it wasn't that great, but I was hoping that it was blown out of proportion. So far the controls are terrible.
