This is an OK VN that seems like it got at least 75% of it's money from the tourism department of the area the game is based in. There's quite a bit about how great the view and food is, but it's otherwise not so bad.

You are about to start a new job in Tokyo so you're clearing out your old room and come across some letters from an old penpal. While going through them you find a final one about how the girl you were talking to killed someone, but it has no postmark. So you go to where she lived to investigate and you find that no one wants to tell you the truth. Through each chapter you *remember* different responses which is what gives you specific endings. It's a bit like a simplified ace attorney.

The game always tells you where to go and the only real choices you make are your past responses to letters and what you do during investigations, which can't really be failed. I definitely don't think this is worth the 40 or even 30 it costs on PSP since you can snag way more involved visual novels on discount all over now, but it's fine to try out if you have gamefly or still live near a rental place.

Like almost every Japanese VN it does let you do is skip previously read text, which is something they still don't do in western narrative games, even though they're all geared toward multiple playthroughs. Also you can just completely skip previously played chapters just to fast forward to the letter reply choices that determine your endings.

The writing is ok and while it features more tourism stuff than you'd expect it still manages to be funny and somewhat entertaining. There's not a ton of variation in the common route and while beating the game once unlocks new scenes I really didn't want to search them out and instead just wanted to get my other endings and be done with it.

Altogether it's a cute and short VN that's worth a rent.
