Big humble store sale this week. Picked up a few games I've been mildly interested in for a while. First was Neon Chrome.
Man, I was really expecting to love this game. I thought it would be a randomly generated version of Jydge where I don't have to worry about collateral damage. But unfortunately it's missing several key improvements from the latter game that makes it impossible for me to go back. The biggest disappointment is the ion weapons that don't have the Crimsonlands near-miss bleed damage like they do in Jydge.
That and the obnoxious unlock cancer where I have to buy 100 upgrades to 6 attributes before the game's fully functional. Not even Everspace took it that far! |
