Speaking of Zionist... is Robert David Steele anti-semitic? by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 05/27/2018, 4:47pm PDT
Many months ago I came to the conclusion that whenever someone used "Zionist" in a sentence - with the possible exception of someone referring to a resident of the town of Zion, Iliinois - that it was almost always used as a nasty slur and quite likely an anti-semitic insult.

Sometimes a turn of phrase is Q.E.D ("Quod Erat Demonstrandum", or "that which was demonstrated") proof of its own falsity. A little kid in a quavery voice shaking like a leaf and looking like he's about to piss himself, who says "I am not scared," has clearly proven that statement wrong. Same with a guy who says that he doesn't hate women who don't want to sleep with him, "those cunts can do as they please, as bitches do," also puts paid to his claim that he doesn't hate women.

So now, what happened?

I stumbled on a videos from the 2000 Hackers on Planet Earth (HOPE) Convention which came out about a year before 9/11. The speaker here was Robert David Steele, a CIA case officer (a supervisor of field spies) who was discussing the US intelligence community and its capacity with respect to technology. Some of what he discussed was shocking, and some I knew before. So, after I listened to that video recorded 19 years ago, I wanted to hear if he had some new things to say. And I found one from this month - May, 2018 - and decided to watch.

Well, he's telling the woman interviewing him a lot of important points, but at one point, he mentions how the Zionist Community - or something even nastier - is responsible for some serious nasty political issues in the world. And he even has the gall, while denigrating some people as "Zionists" to make the claim that he's not anti-semitic. The tone of his voice and the manner and method make it clear - proven Q.E.D - he's using it as a pejorative, hatred-dripping screed.

If he wanted to say "the current leadership of Israel" or specific persons or some identifiable group and say these people are evil, or guilty of misconduct, that's one thing. But referring to some group of "Zionists" as being a collection of evildoers gives the speaker a perfect target: an unspecified collection of men who also happen to be Jews. So what the speaker is doing is using the "Zionist" label as a smear to tar unknown numbers of unidentified people all with the same brush.

Here is the video. Watch and listen for a few minutes until he starts throwing the "Zionist" moniker of same upon unidentified people. Then ask yourself, is this honest opinion or is it hatred-baaed smear tactics?
