Would you care to repeat that in plain ol' Galveston English for us stupids? by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 06/24/2018, 8:46am PDT

Appreciable contrast between your picture of the family farm versus a socially, philosophically, spiritually disconnected court. Inversion of value is required to elevate the prostitutes of Antiquity over the farmers, artisans.

One time my sister and I were discussing a complkicated subject and she asked me what my IQ was. I said I didn't know because I hadn't taken one recently but when I was 12 they ranked me at 95 written, 130 verbal for an average of 115. She said, "No, that's not right, my IQ is 140 and you're clearly smarter than I am."

So, having stated the above, would you care to translate the above gobbledygook into something understandable at my intellectually deficient level of intelligence? Or, as it is said in the vernacular, "Would you mind repeating that in plain ol' Galveston [Texas] English?"

What I said was in rural societies (and by implication, third-world environments) children are the low-tech equivalent of first-world pensions and life insurance. You and your spouse give up some of your food now so that when you're too old and infirm your kids will give up some of their food to feed you. Also that on a farm, more kids become valuable assets who can work the farm once they are able to do work.

In industrial societies I compared that kids are luxury consumption goods; kids have absolutely no value or use to their parents except as something they want to have. (With the possible exception of a kid who becomes a child prodigy or actor.)

I have no idea what you were saying, but if I get the gist of what you said, please explain what Bronze-Age aritisans and prostitutes have to do with the comparison of value of children in 3rd World and agricultural rural societies and their value in urban ones.

What we have today is a lot of "geeks"
here's a complement to this profile promoted towards women which is encouraged. Pair bonding is devalued, dimorphism is eschewed, women must take the place of men, exile those geeks while you're at it. Results may be speaking for themselves when the resource manager or accountant in her mid 30s powerwalking past you with a toy breed in tow has higher usage of prescription medication than the elderly per capita.

They're often unaware how women think vs. how men think.

The risk-adverse, low survival, uniform thought is by design, Commander. To infer otherwise would be invoking some sort of psuedo-science placing you by default as a misogynist, sexist, racist, and even worse when you get down to it, you know, just a real jerk.

After all we're interchangeable, disposable drone units in the hive who deserve equal suffering ;)

If you know much about my own thought background you should note that I am a big follower of much of the philosophy of Ayn Rand, who was a huge opponent of suffering for any reason. In fact, back when she was practicing, there were only two popular well-established writers who recognized Mother Theresa's entire public persona was dedicated, not to reducing suffering and curing sickness, but to encourage sickness and expand suffering. Those two public personalities who independently recognized Mother Theresa as a Charlatan were Ayn Rand and Christopher Hitchens.

Unsustainable lifestyles bankrupt the future, not merely in $$$ but also by nihilism & fatalism, leading to a drop in healthy civilization (see fertility decrease alongside suicide increase).

You just confirmed what I said. In First-World countries, children are consumption luxuries people have because they want them to play with them, and they can afford them. In third-world agricultural societies, children provide resources for future survival and as soon as they become able to work.
