The bigger issue is private companies having a monopoly on speech platforms that are so integral to business today that they should be nationalized and turned into a public commons, or at the very least subject to antitrust breakup so one corporate stooge can't decide on a whim who has a voice and who doesn't. But in the meantime, no, Alex Jones is not "harmless" as many defamed parties from Sandy Hook parents to Comet Ping Pong to Chobani Yogurt attest in court. That monopolistic private corporations like Apple and Google wouldn't want their platform associated with his bullshit isn't surprising, and choosing not to do business with him isn't a violation of the first amendment. This is the "invisible hand" at work in our neoliberal world. Trump could start the antitrust prosecution of these silicon valley monopolies TODAY but he won't. Neither will Joe Biden or some other 3rd way Democrat. The only president who would break up these monopolies and ironically rescue Alex Jones would be a Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren type, but I suspect that's a bridge too far for you guys.
