Vanguard’s fees are rock bottom.

Traditional IRA if you think your tax bracket now will be higher than retirement or you need the tax break now, Roth if you think your bracket now will be lower than retirement or if you want to pay taxes now and none in retirement.

Just throw it into an S&P500 index fund. The cost is practically nothing. Google Warren Buffett’s letter to the head of Washington Post about their pension fund. He breaks down better than I could why you should just throw it into an index fund instead of trying to pick something to beat the market and how fund managers are largely a sham.
