It's a wonderful game up to the final boss, but the actual pinball tables within the game are solved by destroying targets that (mostly) don't regenerate and the final search for hidden macguffins to unlock the secret ending is awful because some of them are bullshit puzzles. Like jumps that rely on flippers hidden behind foreground objects so you'd never think to try it, or mechanics you'd never think to try because they never came into play before (like exploding nearby slugs with the noisemaker).
It's still a great game, but there's a steep decline in quality in the aftergame. |
