I sense a soul in search of answers!
It's funny to me that Wikipedia lists it as a 1996 game. (December 31st, 1996.) I worked at an Electronics Boutique at that time. It was not in our store, not on our shelf until after the new year. I'm sure it will be easy to edit the Wikipedia for this fact.
Anyway, I bought it back in the day. I am not going to hook up a DVD-ROM player to my current computer and even more strenuously, I am not going walk downstairs. Here's how I got it running. This is Windows 7, but I would imagine Windows 10 is the same way.
Step One: Download the bin and cue file from thepiratebay.rocks. There is a comment that states that Blizzard is watching the torrent. That is not true. Like Judge Barry, however, I did get stung torrenting Crazy Rich Asians. Only download the torrent if you've already bought the CD, of course. Not that Blizzard sells what is by far their best game or anything any more.
Step Two: Get some mounting software. I think I actually paid for Daemon Tools once, but I can't find my credentials. I downloaded Gizmo to mount it.
Step Three: Install the game. The installation is fine. If you have the CD, which you did, you didn't have to do any of the above.
Step Four: Download Bezelbub and run that instead of Diablo. It's https://mod.diablo.noktis.pl/ there - not sure what they are doing for naming. Maybe they renamed it. Anyway, there is instructions and it is all great.
You're now ready to go kill that butcher. |
