I realize that my support might directly prompt an instinctive dislike of the film, but I'm going to say it anyway. I think Spirited Away is a great story, and if you think it is ALL ABOUT PEDOPHELIA, then you are PROBABLY A PEDOPHILE YOURSELF. So go molest children, or commit suicide, but leave the fucking movie alone.

So, yeah, the whole children's dream world has been done before. But short of Jan Svankmeijer's Alice, I don't think it's been done a whole lot better. And much like it was the detail in Mononoke that made it exceptional, there is no less attention and effort put into this one. So do yourself a favour, and consider it instead of all the other Jap crap and the loathsome American rentals out this year.
