The defeat of that balanced vs all-AI machina forces must have blown you out of the water so hard it gave you amnesia. In certain matchups like that you're fucked if you bring a balanced force, and there's plenty of fucksticks who will bring an extremely specialized force into the game. Either it'll be worthless against you and you'll bowl them over, or they'll get lucky in the matchup and slaughter you.

Fer cryin' out loud, it was my first multiplayer game using a side I'd never used and I didn't know the mechanics yet. This weekend I put a request to the field instructor site for an example of how to defeat a herd with a balanced loadout and now I have more elite-level players flattening my AI herds in various novel ways than I know what to do with.

You're the equivalent of Senior B crushing a newbie with a Zerg rush and declaring, "The Zerg rush is invincible! Starcraft is broken!"

I am unaware if any other multiplayer tactical game with this game's ease-of-orders or unit balance exists.

Starcraft, you turtling TA loving pansy.

I'm still waiting for your next turn results, fag.

Would you like me to post those results, sister?

You're completely insane comparing this game to Starcraft.

Ironic, I know.

They couldn't be more different. The reason you've been losing is because you play the game like a RTS. It's not because the sides were broken, it's because you marched brazenly in the open towards my sniper's guns and my grenadier's launchers. I don't doubt you're in love with the AI herd, it's the only deployment that could possibly survive your playstyle.

In starcraft, you carefully select your loadout and send them to auto-battle the enemy, hoping half of them don't decide to take a detour across half the map along the way. I'm sure you can help things out by ordeing all (12 of) your guys to shoot at one beastie at a time, but that doesn't even approach the ease-of-use and depth of LSN's controls.

In our last game, in a single turn, while his line of snipers and grenadiers had the main part of my force pinned down, the wall next to his snipers exploded inward and through the dust my secret commando team appeared, immediately launched grenades, then poured through, blasting all the way. The whole thing was choreographed perfectly. Thanks to positional play, just five force points of units (I could have used 3) were able to rout 8 force points' worth of concentrated fire and split his forces. I'm still a newbie making constant goofs with the interface but I'm already able to approach the game in terms of fire teams and positional tactics. You can't do shit like that in an RTS.

I fucking love this game.
