That reminds me of this Qt3 thread, where a guy asks for some good metal recommendations and Qt3 poster Dave Long calls the other recommendations "bullshit" before laying down maybe the worst collection of music that has ever been assembled into list format.

Top 10 biggest mistakes this dude makes in his post!:
10. Recommending live albums (aka albums full of inferior versions of the songs without the nice studio production).
9. Recommending each live album as "the greatest live album ever made."
8. Helix, the guys who did "Rock You" as referenced on that Trailer Park Boys episode where Ricky kidnaps Alex Lifeson.
7. More live albums.
6. Recommending more than 1 album per band.
5. Comparing Rob Halford from Bruce Dickenson for no reason at all, right at the beginning of the post (which is really more like a warning sign to ignore the rest of the post).
4. Telling you what the heaviest rock album is ever.
3. Describing anything by Whitesnake as "seminal." Whitesnake (psh more like Whitesnack) is fine and all but really, there's no point in ever telling anyone that they HAVE to listen to Whitesnake. If they wanted to, they would've already. Everyone probably already has.
2. Recommending a list of bands/albums.
1. "Blues/metal."
Wow I actually got to 10, I thought I'd run out by around 6. :( |
