I played through parts 1 and 2, doing pretty good, did part 3 which was hard but I succeeded and got the happy cutscene, and then paused the game and closed my DS, plugged it in to charge and left it like that for I'd say 2 hours. I watched the new Dexter episode, Jso made some cookies, and I looked up this song/difficulty on youtube and found a video of it, I rewatched someone do a perfect run of that final section of the song, I memorized it, and I kept watching it. I finally set down to start playing again, figuring I'd probably fail but at least I got some experience in and I'll go back to it later and hopefully finish it. Then I nailed it (I was a little iffy at the beginning and then aced the rest, my success meter hovering near the threshold of yes and no, on the no side, but when I made it to the very final spinny circle I knew I was gonna have it because it gives you tons of time to spin it.
So I think next I'll finish up Portrait of Ruin (which I actually bought for reals, because it doesn't work on the R4) and Final Fantasy III (which isn't too bad really) at the same time. And I can LIVE |
