Compounding that problem they included an artbook and music CD in the normal copy of the game, prompting everyone on ebay to label it RARE MUST HAVE HOT. After the ebay scumbags have a field day buying copies in bulk and reselling them Atlus swings back in to re-release the games at full price a year later. They did the exact same thing with Disgaea, and it's still pretty much fifty dollars new anywhere. I bought Persona 3 off some guy on a forum for thirty bucks, but up until that point I had the image on my PS2 harddrive.

Atlus U.S.A. announced today that it will re-release its popular tactical strategy role-playing game, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the PlayStation 2, on May 25th in North America. The company says that after this re-release, the North American version of the game will be put into the vault and locked away.
I can't get too indignant as the past shows I like a quick buck as much as anyone else. I'm sure you can snipe one of the auctions on ebay and get it for about 50 bucks. Or find some random e-tailer (thanks drobo guy) who has a few copies and isn't morally devoid. It's not RARE, it shouldn't be priced at 100 dollars, but Atlus works their asses off to make people do that shit so they can charge full price for what should effectively be a Greatest Hits release.
Beyond that, everyone on ebay is just a scumbag.
