You were surely just being flippant here, but you might actually have been correct for the first time in your glib life. Because while you were being amazed by the ground breaking social impact of Al Bundy watching Psycho Dad, I was watching a TV show where a father could call his son a fag.



Plus the fact that a lot of these episodes are from the late 80s/early 90s means you can see almost every joke coming from a mile away, and it's almost impossible to appreciate how VERY GROUNDBREAKING Married With Children was at the time.

Yeah, take that, Cheers. Fortunately Seinfeld and The Simpsons debuted in 1989 and we can now forget about Married with Children forever.

Regardless, I'm not sure how you remember the social mores of television in 1987, being that you were a baby. But thanks for the history lesson.
