XBox One: Number of times you'll be able to install a software product, if your old one fails, you buy a new one, now you have to buy all your games again, you only get One install, nobody said anything about uninstalls restoring that count, nope, you gotta buy everything all over again.

And by sick animals I'm of course referring to redditors. I was too squeamish to read reddit myself.... I know my limits. Unfortunately, lupus_yonderboy of metafilter must have accidentally typed a sequence of characters into the URL field of his browser that took him to /r/worldnews, or maybe someone tricked him into following a link that he thought would lead to him downloading Nigerian Dentist.flac. Anyway he's the real victim here. I can only hope his convalescence goes well.

Unbreakable is arguably the best superhero movie ever made. It's certainly better than anything that stops the action for twenty minutes while little CGI men the size of houseflies flit weightlessly about the middle third of my TV, speakers thrashing and crackling with a constant buzz of shrieking metal and Whedonesque quips, all in an effort to convince me how goddamn excited I ought to be.

I only saw Signs once, but I liked that one, too. This might be a personal problem: I was crazy about UFOs as a kid, and Signs reminded me of those cheesy "documentaries" I used to devour Sunday mornings on cable (In Search Of... The Hopkinsville Goblins, or something like that). I think, had I seen it when I was nine instead of nineteen, I would still remember it fondly to this day.

Hoping free email addresses will persist for years and not be scanned for behavior profiling or just lost or stolen is too much for me, so I go through the effort of setting up my own shitty solution. I use it to host friends' websites and simple shit like a really crappy web gallery (ain't no Flickr stealing MY blurry out-of-center photos!) It's a great way to keep some basic skills limber and provides the usefulness of having a full set of linux tools available so long as you can run a javascript app.

Linode personally has been rock-solid for me and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants the joy of fighting with their own installs of mysql and denyhosts and what have you. The couple times there have been outages they've been resolved promptly and been well-documented as to what the issues were and what was currently being done to fix them.

Specifically for you ICJ, how much a month is it worth to be able to struggle with, and ultimately possibly host for the internet, browser-based version of various IF games? $20? Minus whatever the hosting is for other sites you can consolidate onto it? Do you like managing your own security patches?

You were correct to come to me with these questions. There's two modes to draw boxes on the screen - fast draw and slow draw. Slow draw gives more points, but since you move the styx slower, you are more at risk to getting yourself killed. Slow draw is red if I remember right and fast draw is cyan.

I believe the trumpet sound is played when you successfully claim more area.

The sparx trap is pretty clever and it took me a few tries on my Qix machine before I could make it happen. It doesn't SEEM like it should work, but I the sparx follow an edge that you wouldn't guess they would follow.
