Re: I'm worried it's not gonna hold up on DVD.

But when I downloaded it a few weeks ago I found it really boring and basically a bad movie. The soundtrack is absolutely the the pits. Even Leonard Cohen thinks everyone should just get over Hallelujah already. I was probably just primed by having read the comic before I saw it the first time. My enjoyment was incorrect. :(
I'd get this the first day of its release, but DVDs have done two things to make me distrust them: 1) DVD designers have gone out of their way to make DVD menus the main source of frustration in my existence. 2) They can call the current release a Director's Cut, but they all fucking lie, and I know there will be a better release someday. The money-grubbing pieces of shit that have come before have ruined it for everyone. 3) I'm worried it's not going to hold up on DVD. I also have a shitty 32" WEGA CRT as a television that makes all movies look worse. Okay, I fucked up my list. It belongs in a Peter King column, not here. ICJ
My main priority for getting a movie on DVD is "is the movie good?" If yes, buy movie. I don't need directors cuts or two disc editions of any movie, all I really need is the movie. And it has to be in widescreen.
