Also a couple "surprises" at the end were really obvious and I saw coming from a mile away, like the shoshana chick getting blown away by that one guy near the end in the projection room, he's laying on his stomach and it's so obvious he's going to roll over and shoot her, and then of course they keep cutting to them laying in the projection room still dead several minutes later, like at the end of The Incredible Melting Man when Dr. Ted Nelson and some dumb ass security guards are <b>still dead</b>, and it's not even ironic like in Melting Man, because remember how Dr. Ted Nelson always hated metal stairs? But in Inglorsors Bastrsd it's not ironic like that, it's just pointless, like a ton of shots and scenes in the movie are. They have an entire scene with Mike Myers talking with this dude about how he knows so much about German film and will be perfect for this operation to do blah blah in this theater, and they set him up as knowledgeable and he will be quite valuable to this operation (then like 10 minutes later he's dead). Multiple characters constantly reference specific characters and movies of the period like some kind of mary sue fanfic (AND I SHOULD KNOW). trntino doesn't even give himself a cameo in this as far as I know, because he transparently inserts himself into several different characters in several scenes. Any time someone explains complicated rules (like of a game) to someone, or any time someone references how great some movie or actor is, that's the self insertion. Also several blowjobs about how IN FRANCE THEY REALLY RESPECT DIRECTORS. They never reveal if they get all the scalps that Brad Pitt wanted, it's like a plot detail they sort of establish and then drop immediately. They also establish a couple of characters and then never do anything with them (as mentioned above, AND THEN SOME). The movie would be completely unwatchable a second time because it drags horribly just the first time you see it, the second time would be like watching a 10 hour movie that refuses to end, so I'd recommend only seeing it once if at all. District 9 is better I think.[/quote]
