Note how TWICE he stops short of finishing off a section of the boss' health bar to make sure there are a large amount of bullets onscreen to convert into point items. The high score is all the encouragement you need.
Note how boring that video was. Even Billy Mitchell's high score obsession involved a funner game. Let's talk a common ground: Devil May Cry. That's a game that effectively encourages you to show off fancy moves and taunting your opponent because you're just that good. Except DMC makes it flashy and fun instead of inching around one square centimeter safe zones.
Robotron doesn't look all that exciting from a disinterested 3rd party's perspective either. We'll agree to disagree. I agree about Devil May Cry 3. Unfortunately DMC4 had some dude who worked on 1 involved in it and he ended up ruining the game for me once I really sunk my teeth into the scoring system. He brought back DMC1's YOU MUST USE THESE SPECIFIC MOVES FOR STYLE system. You can't dive into groups of enemies to drive your style up. You MUST use Dance Macabre and the long range sword sweep. Dance Macabre, of course, being the one button mashing autocombo in the series. Bleh. PS. EXCIIIIIIIIIIIIITING!
