Singleplayer is really excellent.
They have greatly reduced the amount of damage enemies inflict so missing a beat in your stunning and disrupting routine no longer results in instant death. In return, they've nerfed the FC's healing rally ability and consumables are much more scarce (or rather, supply crates are just as numerous but now only hold either grenades, health kits, explosives, or strategic resources, so things like nades, while still powerful, are comparatively harder to get). You are no longer are forced to rely on volleys of frag grenades and explosive shotgun blasts to kill stuff and can instead let your melee and gunz go to town, which is infinitely more satisfying. Randomly generated missions are totally gone... I kind of wish they threw some optional ones in so I could grind for loot. After two vanilla campaign runs and one almost complete CR run I STILL have not found a terminator power fist!!!!! The space hulk missions are awesome and the game is just begging for someone to mod in a good space hulk campaign. There are only a total of 2 or 3 hulk missions which is unacceptable. The chaos traitor plot device is also much, much more effective than "OMG aliens invade will we win? (yes)", although going 100% uncorrupted opens up some plot holes.
