After Novac?
[quote name="Lizard_King"]I have yet to follow up on the Khans lead at 35 hours in, and have had a grand time exploring the wasteland. Sure, I got hassled by Mr Bigshot the moment I entered Vegas...so I ignored him. At level 17 now, and while I have had three opportunities to use intense training (and will likely need one more, for the +1 endurance +1 str implant to operate a weapon I want), for the most part the perks I've gotten otherwise have been tremendously useful, and my small framed character pays for choosing something else over adamantine skeleton in many close encounters. I like how the upgrades made my varmint rifle a silenced, 8 round headshot machine that can use the perks of my NPCs to sight in on an enemy miles before they can get to me, and on that note how NPCs are really handy and fun to have along in what feels like a much more dangerous environment. The first time I became acutely aware of that is when a casual detour had a bus-sized scorpion chasing me into a crowd of centaurs, which I survived at a dead sprint only crash headlong into heavily armed supermutants whose bullets could occasionally find their way through the thicket of enemies following me. I made it, but only thanks to a lucky fall off a cliff and a stealth boy. Mostly, I like the overhaul of factions and having karma take a backseat to reputation. I feel like there will be ample reason to do more playthroughs beyond simply going after a different build, as opposed to FO3's choices of being a brotherhood sidekick or being a strangely murderous brotherhood sidekick.
