Tell the builders what you're planning and they'll even put the HD cables in for you ahead of time and label them "put C: here, D: here, DVD here." Onboard audio is pretty standard. PCI modem cards emulate the DSP or something in CPU; a used external modem will cost upwards of $15 and save you cycles. Transferring a video card is easy enough that describing it is beneath me.
