Re: Who'd have thought laudablepuss would have a 10 in END?

Doc Mitchell: "I guess that explains how you're still alive. You're built solid as an oak." -/ES/-
One theory espoused was maybe I was benefiting from a huge endorphin rush and that's why I wasn't in pain. Removing the ENTIRE liver can do that, and the idea was if I'd just had my gal bladder removed, say, I'd be in awful pain. When my colon was removed 14 years ago, I felt terrible - once they removed the epidural that is. That time I also was walking around immediately after waking up, and feeling fine. A guy who was 8 years older than me who'd had the same surgery 2 weeks earlier was still there, having more difficulty walking around than I was, and he gave me the most evil glare. I waved and then stopped because of the hate emanating from him. But I assumed it was just my youth and GOOD LOOKS (fuck you guys, some of you ;) that was the difference. That and my heart was pure. Yep. Anyway, they took the epidural out and sent me home with percocets or whatever and life sucked for a couple weeks. That hasn't happened this time, and I kinda doubt that endorphins stick around for 5+ weeks. But I'm not a doctor so who knows.
