When my colon was removed 14 years ago, I felt terrible - once they removed the epidural that is. That time I also was walking around immediately after waking up, and feeling fine. A guy who was 8 years older than me who'd had the same surgery 2 weeks earlier was still there, having more difficulty walking around than I was, and he gave me the most evil glare. I waved and then stopped because of the hate emanating from him. But I assumed it was just my youth and GOOD LOOKS (fuck you guys, some of you ;) that was the difference. That and my heart was pure. Yep. Anyway, they took the epidural out and sent me home with percocets or whatever and life sucked for a couple weeks. That hasn't happened this time, and I kinda doubt that endorphins stick around for 5+ weeks. But I'm not a doctor so who knows.[/quote]
