Re: That reminds me

While I was in the hospital, I saw a couple Bronco games. Holy christ we suck. But I felt we had a decent shot at beating the goddam Cards. By then, I wasn't even hooked up to an IV for most of the day, and my folks had brought in some pajamas and my Bronco hat, so I wouldn't be essentially naked like those zombies in No Mercy (and my brother would stop pretending to shoot me with a shotgun). I watched for awhile, then stomped around the ward in anger for awhile, then turned off the TV. People were texting me about the game and I replied with "I could play better right now. Mandatory liver transplants for the entire team! >:[" But I felt I needed to stay positive, so I gave up on the game by halftime. That shit was not helping.
They looked terrible, but John Fox should get you respectable, and then in two years you can decide whether or not you want to bring in a young upstart after Elway and the boys get good at player evaluation. I disliked having Fox in the NFC South, and I was overjoyed to see him leave and Ron Rivera hired as the new coach of the Panthers. The one thing that always killed me about Fox was that he was very vocal about how he thought it was dumb to spend high draft picks on quarterbacks. Let's see, the last 8 are Sanchez, Brady, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Hasselbeck, Cutler, Rodgers and Ryan. I think every single guy there was a first rounder except Brady and Hasselbeck. Not having a real QB is like not having a lottery pick on your team in basketball, you shouldn't even bother running your franchise if you're without one. All you're doing if you DO win is delaying ever getting better. That's why I like what they are doing in the NBA in Cleveland. They should aim to win 4 games a year until they end up with another franchise draft pick. Why pretend the NBA is anything else? What a garbage league. Luckily, McDaniels took care of the "high draft pick spent on a quarterback" issue for Fox ahead of time. Fox also says "it is what it is" at a 55% rate when posed questions. Nobody enjoys that, nor will anyone learn to. But I think Elway got the best man for the 2011-2012 Broncos. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
