True story: my mom used to be the pastor of a church like that.
They had psychic fun fairs. :( Anyways, to be the pastor of a church with no affiliations to any international religion, that doesn't take 5 years of school. It just takes a couple of classes and a state certification. Is there some international Unitarian church with some kind of overarching governing body? If so, why even fuck around with that? Find yourself a "Metaphysical" church and go nuts. I can assure you that with your intelligence and your dominant personality you will be queen of these people in days. All they want out of life is a person who reads a lot of books and who will tell them that their visions aren't complete and utter bullshit, and then regale them with stories about how the Nicene council turned Christ's teachings around to keep people down and in real life Mary Magdalene something something. It doesn't matter if you make it up. Your church story will probably end like my mom's, so I wouldn't invest too much money and time into it. You'll look around one day and realize that you've expended a huge amount of energy surrounding yourself with a bunch of toothless morons who like to meet once a week, talk about their imaginary friends, then scurry off to have sordid, greasy affairs in the restrooms. And then they'll also meet once a quarter to discuss how much they hate how you're running the place. And then you'll realize maybe this isn't the best way to spend your time.
