Re: Honestly the Kobayashi Maru scene was the worst to me

Spock doing his best attempt to look utterly confused while Kirk's sitting down there eating a fucking apple and talking like he's ordering McDonalds. HOW DID HE DO IT?! IT IS A MYSTERY.
Not that I am defending the scene, but Kirk was eating an apple telling Saavik about how he kicked the test's ass in Wrath of Khan, so that's a callback, yo. Kirk was right, by the way, to do that, though. Though I always liked Mr. Scott more, when I was a little kid, one of the reasons I wanted to be a programmer when I grew up instead of an engineer was because I had heard that Kirk "re-programmed" the machine to take his reputation into consideration. As an adult, the thought of James frigging Kirk dealing with his shitty IDE, trying to fix his Maven dependencies and casually searching Newegg for a 40 GB flash disk to compile the Maru faster is great and I now realize it was an empty description. Rewatching that scene from Star Trek 11, I see that they did a thing where the power went out and came back up. Christ. The more I read these posts the more I dislike that movie. ICJ
